Collagenase NB 1 GMP grade by Serva/Nordmark
Clostridiopeptidase A, MW 70kDa - 120kDa, CAS 9001-12-1
Collagenase NB 1 cGMP grade is made according to EU GMP guidelines for cell isolation applications in tissue engineering and tissue transplantation. This collagenase is highly purified to provide high yields and viability of very sensitive cells. Collagenase NB 1 GMP is especially applicable to isolation of pancreatic Islets of Langerhans cells. Use with Neutral Protease NB GMP Grade (ref. no. 30303).
Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade is recommended for applications such as transplantation into humans when GMP. This collagenase is produced from Clostridium histolyticum. It is chromatographically purified and contains class I and class II collagenases mostly free of clostripain, trypsin-like and neutral protease activity.
Applications for Collagenase NB 1 GMP includes cell isolation of:
- Human pancreatic islets of Langerhans
Collagenase NB 1 GMP activitie(s)
- PZ (Wunsch): greater than 0.30 U/mg
- Endotoxin: less than 10.0 EU/mg (Ph. Eur.)
Each vial contains not less than 2000 PZ U of collagenase
Unit definition: 1U catalyzes the hydrolysis of 1umole 4-phenylazobenzyloxycarbonyl-L-prolyl-D-arginine per minute at 25C.
Endotoxin: Ph. Eur. (1 Endotoxin Unit is equal to 1 International Unit of a WHO approved reference standard endotoxin (RSE))
